I Pulled The Power Train And Sent The Car To This Paint Shop In The South Portland Area . The Car Was Striped Down To Bare Metal . The Car Has Never Been In A Accident. The Cost To Paint The Car In 1980 Was $5,000.00. Which Back Then Was Big Money

A quarter panel and the rocker panels were replaced before the body was stripped to bare metal and repainted in its current shade of beige in 1980, according to the seller. Features include a sunroof, dual mirrors, rubber hood fins, bright trim, and rear window brake lights. The seller notes areas of rust and corrosion along the fenders. A period front mask is shown installed in the gallery below and will accompany the car.

Black-finished 14? Epsilon basketweave wheels are mounted with 195/60 Falken Azenis tires. The suspension has been modified with Eibach springs, Bilstein sport shocks, larger sway bars, and fixed negative camber plates.

The interior features Recaro front seats with heating elements and headrest speakers upholstered in black cloth with multi-color inserts. Additional amenities include a partial Blaupunkt "gooseneck" radio controller, an alarm system, windshield wipers with delay functionality, and air horns. Switches labeled "Self Destruct" and "Smoke Screen" flank the shifter, and a Whistler Q1000 radar detector is mounted atop the dash. The Sony stereo, speakers, and heated seat features are disconnected.

The customized dashboard features rosewood panels and houses a centrally located clock and VDO auxiliary gauges. A four-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation consisting of a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and a combination gauge, while an amperage gauge is mounted behind the shifter. The five-digit odometer shows 11k miles, and total mileage is unknown.

The 2.0- liter M10 inline-four features Kugelfischer mechanical fuel injection. Modifications include a ported and polished cylinder head, a Schrick 292-degree camshaft, double valve springs, notched pistons, and an MSD ignition. A 2021 service reportedly included replacing the front main seal, a fuel injection belt, and the alternator bushings.

The exhaust is modified with an aftermarket header and straight pipes back to a factory-style muffler. Additional underbody photographs are provided in the gallery below.

The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a state that does not issue titles for vehicles of its age. It is sold on its Maine registration.
