1969 Jaguar E-Type SII OTS Blue for sale! Motorcar Classics is
proud to present this stunning 1969 Jaguar XKE Convertible. The car
is featured in a most desirable color combination of Dark Navy
Opalescent Blue and a leather Biscuit interior piped in Navy with a
Navy canvas convertible top and matching boot cover. It is accented
with brilliant brightwork including 2-eared chrome wire wheels and
red line tires. The Series II E-Type is powered by Jaguar's iconic
4.2 Litre DOHC six-cylinder engine with 4-speed, all-synchromesh
gearbox. This 2-owner Jaguar was an original rust free car with
excellent gaps and was the subject of a full three year rotisserie
bare metal nut amp; bolt restoration. The included JDHT Heritage
Certificate attests to the authenticity of the restoration. The
Jaguar XKE is one of the most iconic designs from the golden age of
sports cars. Few cars have such immediately recognizable styling.
The E-Type design has the DNA of Jaguar's successful D-Type race
cars and awed automotive journalists when it was introduced in 1961
with a monocoque body, front sub-frame for the engine and
suspension, and the independent rear suspension with inboard
brakes. With its race-proven motor and all-wheel disc brakes, the
performance set new standards. U.S. safety regulations mandated the
facelift for the Series II cars in late 1967. The Series IIcars are
more user-friendly with the numerous mechanical improvements.Jaguar
E-Types are among the most collectible British sports cars and
well-sortedexamples are delightful to drive. Our car has multiple
awards including the Audrain 2021 Best in Class B-1. This is a
well-sorted and superb example that will bring its new owner pride
in any touring or concours event.
