Now this is a cool cruiser! You don’t see the Pontiac sedans nearly as much at the car shows, as you do the Chevys. This particular Pontiac Star Chief was very well equipped, and is easy and fun to drive.
That said, this Sedan has a few things that could use a little help just to make it that much nicer. For example the weather stripping, and wind lace are in need of replacement, and I have the weatherstripping for the doors, windows, and trunk, brand new.
The Pontiac starts, and runs very nicely with a couple of nice upgrades such as an electric fuel pump, and electronic ignition. Power steering, and power brakes make this Star Chief very easy to drive too!
Mostly original, this Pontiac has survived very well through the decades. The Lime-fire Green paint is leaning towards the patina look, but along with the trim and brightwork, it all works perfectly for a fun driver!
The clean beautiful interior is as spacious and comfortable as they come.
This platform, be it a Chevrolet, Buick, Oldsmobile, or Pontiac, all provide a very comfortable ride that we seem to have lost in the new cars we drive today, and this Star Chief is no exception, loaded with it’s amenities.
There’s no better way to experience a few moments from another time, like crusin’ around gazing down the chromed adorned hood through the curved glass windshield in a big classic car. Summer’s just around the corner!
