Equipped with a built, high performance 351 Windsor V8, featuring a Torker II aluminum intake, Brawler 750 Race Carb, HEI distributor and a high-performance cam (unknown specs). Doug's full-length headers and Flowmaster mufflers give a tough sound. This engine will rock & roll! It runs perfect on 93 octane gas. Ford C4 automatic transmission, built by TCI with a stall converter and B&M Quicksilver shifter. Custom, aluminum driveshaft. Ford 9" positrac rear end with 4.10 gears. 4 link rear suspension with coil-overs. Rack-N-Pinion steering. Front suspension is Mustang II style with tubular control arms, sway bar and coil-over shocks. Disc brakes up front, large drum brakes in rear. Drives great and stops very well. The body is not rusty. The floors are original and have no rust issues. The (Code A) "Presidential Black" paint appears to be mostly original from 1962 but does have a few touch ups. Despite how great the paint looks in these photos, it has lots of blemishes that you can see when standing next to the car. Remember, this is a 62 year old classic and there are several chips and scratches and a few dings, which give the car character and that cool hot rod vibe. The black and white interior has been redone and is in great condition. Has a tilt steering column with the original steering wheel. All of the lights, turn signals and gauges work properly. The tires are very good, mounted on 15" aluminum Revolver wheels. This is a fun car that sounds mean and nasty. It drives good down the highway and will get your heart rate up when you floor the gas pedal! It runs cool, has good oil pressure, no leaks and starts right up every time. It idles with a nice thumpy lope and is not your typical finicky, temperamental old car. Can be driven regularly or would be an excellent weekend toy.
