For Sale: 1963 Chevrolet Corvette in Sonoma, California

Vehicle Description

1963 Chevrolet Corvette C2 Convertible
4-Speed, California Car with Hartop

Nice 1963 Chevrolet Corvette C2 Convertible for sale. Finished in Silver Blue Metallic with a black interior. Restored in the 1990s, its Newport Beach owner sold it to our friend in Las Vegas in the mid-1990s who kept it garaged and only drove it a couple of times a year locally. It includes some records, manuals, and older registrations. We have serviced the car and made it ready to enjoy.

The 327ci V8 was rebuilt at that time and runs beautifully. It idles smoothly, runs quietly and cool, and performs great. The 4-speed manual transmission shifts up and down through the gears easily and the braking and suspension are responsive making it nice to drive. The tires have plenty of tread though we recommend replacing them due to age. Otherwise, it's ready to enjoy.

The exterior was completely and nicely refinished during its restoration in the iconic Silver Blue Metallic though the 941a paint code on the data tag indicates it was originally finished in Sebring Silver. The body is straight and the paint shows well, while barely noticeable unless, within 5-10 feet, there is some checking at the driver's door handle and cracks around the antenna mount. Also, it has an older convertible top that functions fine though the rear window is discoloring. Otherwise, the trim, glass, and lenses look good and the headlamp doors are in good working order.

The cockpit is comfortable and shows nicely. The leather seating is in decent shape though there is a small split in the driver's seat bottom. The gauges, switches, lighting, horn, and even the clock are in good working order. At the time of writing this description the aftermarket radio is not turning on and the blinker switch is not automatically canceling. We are in the process of addressing these. Overall it is a comfortable ride!
