Vehicle Description
This 1972 Porsche 911E is a US-specification coupe that was
finished from the factory in Viper Green over a black interior with
houndstooth seat inserts. It was delivered new in Germany in April
1972 and driven in Europe before being shipped to the original
owner's home in California in late 1974. The original owner kept
the car until his passing in 2010, and it was then stored in a
garage until the selling dealer's acquisition in November 2018.
Maintenance in August 2019 included removal of the numbers-matching
2.4L flat-six for a top-end reseal. New piston rings, valve covers,
and a clutch were installed along with many other components as
outlined below. The heat exchangers and muffler were also replaced,
and the car was dyno tuned following reinstallation of the engine.
Equipment includes 15? Fuchs wheels, Weber carburetors, lower
rocker trim, driving lights, and new Michelin tires. This 911 is
now offered in Houston, Texas with its order invoice, 1974 shipping
document, California registration cards from 1977-2010, an owner's
manual, and a 1975-issue California "pink slip" in the original
owner's name.
