Vehicle Description
Chassis No. WP0CA2994WS340434
After three decades of incremental improvements and refinement of
the 911's rear-engined, air-cooled formula, Porsche introduced a
fundamental change to the 911's DNA with the launch of the
water-cooled 996-generation in late 1997. A move that has divided
Porsche devotees ever since, the previous 993-generation 911 was
thereby cemented as the last of the air-cooled 911s, and as a
result, represents some of the most coveted modern Porsches ever
produced.
This Canadian-market Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet desirably hails
from the final year of air-cooled production as a 1998 model year.
Finished in classic Guards Red with a Black soft top over a
Cashmere Beige/Black partial leather interior, the option code
sticker affixed to the underside of the luggage compartment lid
identifies the following optional equipment: Seat Heating System -
Left and Right Seats, Sports Seats - Left and Right Electrically
Height Adjustable, Seat Covers - Front Leather, Cruise Control,
Sound System, Porsche CDR-210 radio, Wind Deflector, Engine Sound
Package, 18-inch "Technology" Wheels, and Concave Center Caps with
Colored Crests. Additionally, the interior is equipped with the
highly coveted 993-generation hardback Sports Seats trimmed in
matching Cashmere Beige leather. The accompanying CARFAX Vehicle
History Report shows that the Cabriolet was imported from Canada to
the United States in September 2001 showing fewer than 3,000 miles
and offered for sale in New York, with subsequent registration and
service history placing the car in Connecticut until 2019. In
recent years, the report places the Porsche in Virginia where it
has received regular maintenance at Checkered Flag Porsche in
Virginia Beach. Furthermore, the car is accompanied by two decades
of service records including invoices from DAS Sport of Orange
County, Virginia, who have played a key role in the preservation of
this low-mileage Cabriolet. Most recently, the car was treated to a
replacement Black convertible top in 2019, a major engine service
in 2020, the installation of PPF on the front nose and rear
quarters in 2022, and the installation of European specification
"M030" springs with a four-wheel alignment in April 2024.
Showing just over 11,600 miles on the odometer at the time of
cataloging, this well-preserved Cabriolet variant of the final
air-cooled 911 is also offered with its jack, tool roll, and
owner's manuals.
