Vehicle Description
Chassis No. WP0AB2960PS419255
One of just 701 built, this Grand Prix White Carrera RS America is
an exceptionally well-preserved example of Porsche's
limited-production, lightweight 964-generation "RennSport" model.
Free of most comfort and convenience features to save weight, only
four options were available to RS America customers, with this
example being desirably factory-equipped with air conditioning and
a sunroof. The accompanying CARFAX Vehicle History Report begins in
August 1993 when the 911 was registered to its first owner in
California. By 2005, the car had been relocated to Ohio under new
ownership where it would remain until being acquired by the
Ohio-based consignor in 2023. The report also notes a visit to
Porsche Dallas in April 2021 which included replacing the spark
plugs and spark plug wires, replacing the fuel filter, a brake
fluid change, and an oil and filter change.
Today, the RS America is offered with a mere 6,621 miles at the
time of cataloging and presents in highly original condition
commensurate with its low mileage. The car's like-new presentation
extends to its 17-inch Cup alloy wheels, Black cloth upholstery,
engine bay, suspension, and undercarriage, suggesting careful use
and diligent maintenance by its previous owners. The car is
additionally supplied with its original manuals, two keys, tool
roll, and tire inflator, further complementing its high degree of
originality.
This carefully preserved, low mileage RS America is deserving of a
place in any collection of limited-edition RennSport specials. They
have become tremendously sought-after and for good reason - the
simplicity of design, lightweight sporting nature, and high
performance speak to Porsche's guiding ethos since the late 1940s.
This example, in excellent condition, is highly representative of
an iconic model.
