The 1970 Chevelle was part of the second generation of Chevelles
produced from 1968 to 1972. Known for their sleek design and
powerful performance, the Gen2 Chevelles were available in a
variety of body styles and featured a distinctive front grille
design, dual headlights and a sculpted body with muscular lines.
This two-owner 1970 Malibu hardtop was carefully restored to
virtually original in 2020. (It has won AACA First Place National
Awards and copies of the window sticker, factory invoice and build
sheet are provided.) The exterior was stripped to bare metal and
professionally refinished in 2-stage Imperial Blue Metallic, a
Camaro color virtually identical to the original Mulsanne Blue. It
is accented by a contrasting new black vinyl top and most of the
chrome/stainless is either new or rechromed. GM 14x7 road wheels
w/dog-dish hubcaps mount Diamond Back redline radial tires w/good
tread. The beautiful vinyl interior has also been refreshed -
correct upholstery, headliner, dash and carpets are excellent.
Features include cold air conditioning, tinted windows, a SunPro
gauge package and an AM/FM sound system. Horsepower is furnished by
the factory 307ci small-block (date coded) that is said to be
rebuilt. It has been upgraded with a correct GM 4-barrel
intake/rebuilt Quadrajet carburetor and sounds wonderful through
new aluminized dual exhaust. The factory Turbo 350 3-speed
transmission provides torque to a stock differential. A clean
chassis is fitted with power steering, new power-assisted disc/drum
brakes w/dual master and the suspension components have been
rebuilt. Front/rear sway bars are the F41-type bars used with the
SS model. The '70 Chevelle remains a highly sought-after classic
and this handsome Malibu hardtop is going to make its new owner
very proud. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
