Only 1,742 miles on this custom build. Made to look like a GT-350
and perform like a sports car! It has its luxuries too like air
conditioning, power windows and a stereo because we know you like
to be comfortable.
EXTERIOR: The classic Mustang fastback is a good looking car to
start with, this one takes it to a whole new level with all of its
upgrades. Professionally restored, rust free body. It's straight
and fits right. Upgraded with a fiberglass Shelby scooped hood,
dove tail trunk lid and end caps. The fiberglass parts are also
straight and fit right. Painted Wimbledon white with a very smooth,
glossy finish. Red over the top stripes along with the GT350 side
stripes makes it pop. Custom push button hood pins, a billet grill,
dual mirrors, Shelby gas cap and exhaust through the valance dress
it up even more. Upgraded Halogen headlights and LED taillights. It
sits proud on 17 inch wheels and performance tires.
INTERIOR: Wow, there's a lot to talk about in here! I guess we'll
start with the fact that it's an all new deluxe pony, 2 tone
interior. This includes the molded door panels, running ponies on
the seats and wood grain trim. The seats even have new cushions,
the back seat folds flat. New carpet front to back. In front of us
is a set of real nice custom gauges including a mini tachometer and
they light up red. It has a polished wood steering wheel on a tilt
column that was added. Great sounding stereo system with a touch
screen stereo with navigation capability, kick panel
speakers/tweeters, 6x9s in the back, an amplifier and subwoofer. I
appreciate the custom console with an armrest and cup holders. New
red seat belts front and back. It also has a roll bar that is out
of the way. Almost forgot: those window cranks are actually power
windows switches!
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Smooth running 289 with performance upgrades:
MSD fuel injection, MSD Pro Billet ignition system and coated
headers. Dressed up with finned aluminum valve covers and air
cleaner. Upgraded with Vintage Air heat and a/c system, Borgeson
power steering and Wilwood power brakes. Runs cool with an aluminum
radiator and electric fan. Custom inner fenders, the engine bay is
painted like the car.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and the jamb are painted
slick. Inside is rock solid metal painted in a durable chip guard.
It's home to an Optima battery and stereo equipment.
UNDERSIDE: Underneath has greatly improved handling. Up front is a
Heidts subframe which includes tubular control arms, QA1 gas
shocks, a swaybar, rack and pinion steering. In back it has
upgraded leaf springs and QA1 adjustable gas shocks. It stops on a
dime with the help of Wilwood big disc brakes at all 4 wheels. It
includes drilled and slotted rotors, red 6 piston calipers in
front, 4 piston in back and a custom e-brake assembly. The dual
exhaust has a crossover pipe, Flowmaster mufflers and goes out
through the rear valance. The fuel system has been replaced.
Looking up at the motor it has an extra capacity, anodized oil pan
and a high torque starter. Upgraded with a Ford AOD automatic
overdrive transmission. Custom built drive shaft goes back to a
Ford 9 inch rear end. The floors appear to be rock solid and then
sprayed a black chip guard.
SERVICE: After we inspected the car we gave it an oil change,
replaced the interior bulbs, repaired and charged the AC system,
serviced the front suspension, replace the roller on the driver's
window.
I just drove this car, wow. It handles like it's on rails, very
responsive steering! The list of upgrades and features is very
impressive, much more than meets the eye. This fastback will over
deliver!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to
assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are
answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video
that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are
displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an
appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment
there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car,
your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year
membership.
