Vehicle Description
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1971 Dodge Dart Swinger
for your consideration. The car is powered by a 318V8 with an
automatic transmission. The car snaps to life with a turn of a key
and sounds great. This example still has the original build sheet
under the back seat and is in good condition. The Dart was
introduced as a lower-priced full-sized car in 1960 but then
quickly became a mid-sized car and then finally a compact from
1963-1976. By 1967 brought the 4th generation and quite arguably
the cleanest and sharpest design yet. They received revised
steering, a complete face-lift, a wider stance and the ability to
accept a wider range of engine options including big blocks with
the redesigned K-member up front. Curved glass was also used for
the first time ever in a Chrysler compact that created a unique
appearance at the rear of the Dart
The "Swinger" name was applied to all the Dart two-door hardtops
except in the high-line custom series, the swinger model was
available as a four- door version as well but few were actually
produced.
