One of the more visually distinctive Alfa Romeos, the Giulietta Sprint Speciale features a coach-built steel and aluminum body built on the chassis of a standard production Giulietta Spider. Inspired by the company's B.A.T. concepts in the 1950s, Carrozzeria Bertone ensured the limited-production homologation special had looks to match its racing potential. The car paired light weight with an incredibly low drag coefficient of 0.28 (the same as a C6 Corvette) and a 1.3L Inline-4, allowing the car to reach 125mph.

With approximately 1,366 Giulietta Sprint Speciales produced between 1959 and 1963, these cars (and the similar Giulia Sprint Speciale) are highly regarded by enthusiasts and critics alike. Even more so than other contemporary sports cars, the Giulietta's precise handling and brisk acceleration reward drivers with an unforgettable experience.

The exquisite 1962 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Speciale Coupe featured here is finished in its stunning factory original color of Rosso (Red) over a gorgeous Rosso & Bianco (Red & White) interior. According to the records of Alfa Romeo’s Automobilismo Storico Centro Documentazione, this car, chassis number AR177344, completed assembly in February 1962 and was subsequently sold to its first owner in Forli, Italy. By 1988 after an unknown number of owners, the car came into the collection of Conrad “Bud” Brickman of Loudonville, New York. Mr. Brickman commissioned restoration work by Peter Markowski’s well-known RPM in Vermont. Following this, the car participated in events such as the Copperstate 1000 and three tours through New England, where it collected decals affixed to the window representing the SCCA, Alfa Romeo Owners’ Club, and the Copperstate 1000.

In May 2006, the Giulietta was offered by Brickman at a sale at the Larz Anderson Auto Museum, whereupon it was acquired by the previous owner - a highly discerning Alfa Romeo collector and one of the foremost authorities on Sprint Speciales. Under his knowledgeable guidance, the car was sympathetically refreshed at an investment totaling over $91,000. Mechanical attention was given as needed by Bonfanti Garage in Italy, the chrome was re-plated, and a new two-tone interior was installed. Today, this spectacular examples presents as virtually new and is among one of the finest examples you'll find on the market today. It is with great pride and enthusiasm we offer this investment-grade Alfa Romeo to the most sophisticated collector, investor, or enthusiast who understands and appreciates the investment potential of this iconic limited production model!
