1965 PONTIAC GTO, PHS DOCUMENTED, P-O-P PLATE, TRI-POWER, 4-SPEED
This is one good looking GTO in its factory color Montero Red, code
R. It has fantastic fit and finish. It is straight down both sides,
all the panels fit square and flush. The doors open and shut like
new. The clear coat finish is smooth and glossy. The door jambs are
just as glossy as the exterior. Up front; the bumper, headlight
bezels and around the grills are like new. The rear bumper has been
rechromed. The tail panel and tail light bezels and lenses are in
great shape. All the weather stripping has been replaced. The door
handles and all the emblems are nice. It sits on a set of steel
wheels with dog dish hubcaps with a set of redline tires. The red
interior really pops up against the red exterior. The interior
looks very good. The seat upholstery looks excellent. The door
panels, carpet, headliner, armrest bases and pads have all been
replaced. The rear seat is very nice. It sports a factory wood
steering wheel. In between the bucket seats there is a Hurst
4-speed shifter sticking out of the factory console that is in good
condition. Looking at the dash it has the optional Rally gauges,
factory tach and factory AM radio! The heater controls slide with
ease. The engine compartment is nicely detailed with a completely
rebuilt, period-correct WT code 389 ci motor that features a
tri-power setup on it!! The carbs have been completely restored and
dialed in. It sports polished finned aluminum valve covers. The
master cylinder has been replaced. It also features a 4-core
Harrison radiator with correct clutch fan. The engine bay, core
support and firewall are painted and have a nice satin black
finish. It also has under hood insulation. The undercarriage is as
clean as the top side. All the steering and suspension components
look good. The floors are all clean original metal, no signs of any
patches. There is a newer dual exhaust system that runs all the way
out the rear. It has a newer gas tank, sending unit and straps. The
E-brake system is all complete and working. The trunk is solid and
nicely detailed with factory splatter paint. It has a spare tire
with a cover, trunk mat. What an amazing GTO! Great Color
Combination, Tri-power, 4-speed!!
