Vehicle Description
1951 Ford F-2 Flatbed
VIN: BTKC10654
This 1951 Ford F-2 came from a working ranch in eastern Colorado,
who the Seller states was the original owner. The Seller, who's a
cattle guy himself, acquired the truck in 2018 and then the
restoration process began. The odometer is currently showing 97686
miles, which the Seller states are original. This truck was
beautifully restored from the frame up, to include the lights.
Body/Paint: There wasn't any damage to the original body of the
truck. All parts were removed for restoration. The truck originally
came with a red exterior paint but after restoration the color of
Viper Red was chosen as the replacement paint color. A new oak
flatbed was installed along with the mini racks. The suspension was
restored as well. There are a couple imperfections to the paint,
see the photos.
Interior: The interior color stayed with the original black color
scheme. The carpet is new as well as the upholstery. The original
owner's manual is still in the truck.
Mechanicals: It has the original Flathead V-8 engine with the
original 4 speed manual transmission powering the truck. The Brakes
were not replaced but they were reviewed. The front bumper, bed
slats, headlight rings and wheel rings were all replaced or added.
The Seller states the original 6-volt system was not changed out.
Not much chrome is on the truck. The truck originally came with a
flatbed/hydraulic dump system. The Hydraulic cylinders are still in
place and the Seller had the Restorer remove the supply tank and
the PTO system. The Seller reports there are no oil leaks and the
engine does not smoke.
Components: The Seller reports all components are in good working
order.
