Vehicle Description
STK 3786 1983 Chrysler Imperial
The Chrysler Imperial was introduced in 1926 and was considered to
be Chrysler's top-of-the-line model for decades. The company
positioned the Imperial as a prestige symbol to rival Cadillac and
Lincoln - supreme and superior to all others. After many
generations the Imperial marque was moth-balled at the end of the
1975 model year, but then resurrected in '81 as a two-door coupe
based on the Cordoba platform. This 1983 Imperial is virtually
original and is in outstanding condition. The factory exterior
finish has been refreshed with an outstanding 2-stage respray of
Day Star Blue. It is accented by steel wheels with distinctive
optional wire-wheel covers that mount Nexen w/w radials. Inside,
the luxurious original blue leather/vinyl upholstery shows very
little wear. Convenience features include A/C (needs TLC), power
tinted windows, tilt wheel, power seats, power trunk, cruise
control 'burlwood' dash accents and an AM/FM/Cassette sound system.
Horsepower is furnished by a Chrysler 318ci 'LA' powerplant. The
factory fuel injection package has been replaced with a 'Sniper'
EFI throttle-body unit mounted on an Edelbrock aluminum intake.
Cooling is managed by an aluminum radiator and torque is delivered
through a three-speed automatic overdrive gearbox to a rear drive
differential. The chassis is equipped with power steering, power
disc/drum brakes, front/rear stabilizer bars and new exhaust. This
stylish, rare Imperial coupe should sell quickly. ALL VEHICLES SOLD
"AS IS".
