This Chevelle convertible has received a thorough 3-year frame off
restoration! Powered by a 454 big block with fuel injection and
mated to a 700R-4 automatic overdrive trans is an ideal combination
for both power and reliability!
EXTERIOR: A heavy Chevy that looks lean and mean! The quality of
this paint job is well above average. The absolutely shiny silver
metallic paint job will turn heads everywhere you drive. It has
been beautifully executed and polished to a glass like finish. I
noticed just a couple very small paint touch-ups. The fit and
alignment of all the body panels is exceptional. The doors both
close easily. All the gaps are very consistent throughout the car.
The bumpers and chrome trim shows nicely. The staggered aftermarket
chrome rims provide this car with a perfect posture. 18 inches
upfront and 20s in the rear with a super beefy 275/40ZR20 tire. All
the SS 454 badges and the bulged SS hood let them know you're not
to be messed with on the street. It has a black power convertible
top. Put that convertible top down and cruise effortlessly in
absolute style with the wind in your hair.
INTERIOR: Sitting in the interior I instantly noticed the comfort
of the replaced or reupholstered SS style bucket seats. They're
supportive and firm with no imperfections noticed. The matching
rear seat has been redone to the same quality and standards of the
front seats. The door panels are in exact match with the seats and
appear to be in great overall condition. It has seat belts in the
front and rear So you can take the whole family for a cruise. The
center console has been nicely restored. The sun visors are in
fantastic condition and appear to be original. The dash pad has
more than likely been replaced. The gauges and all the controls
present extremely nice overall. There's an aftermarket radio
cleanly mounted in the glove box. The steering wheel has been
replaced with an aftermarket unit that has a nice and thick feel to
it. This is a well-appointed interior that I could easily and
comfortably sit inside for hours!
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The biggest motor available was a 396, well
guess what? Someone put a 454 in this ragtop! It runs strong and
has an Edelbrock intake on top with a Holley Sniper fuel injection.
It also has HEI ignition system and headers. Dressed in a nice
looking set of Chevrolet script aluminum valve covers and in front
of the motor is a chrome alternator, bracket and timing cover.
Features power steering and power brakes all the components are
clean and proper. All the surfaces have smooth, clean finishes. The
bottom of the hood is painted with the same quality as the
body.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The underside of the trunk lid and hinges are
painted just as shiny and smooth as the body. The weatherstrip has
been replaced. Looking inside the steel is all very nice and solid.
It has been painted in a chip guard black finish that looks nice
and clean. Overall, this is a nicely redone trunk compartment.
UNDERSIDE: The undercarriage has been nicely painted black and has
many modern upgrades. The steering opponents appear to be replaced
and all the hardware looks new. It has coil over shocks up front
and also a sway bar. The rear suspension looks all new including
the control arms, springs, and shocks. Upgraded with disc brakes at
all four wheels. The calipers have been painted red, the e-brake is
attached. Long tube headers are connected to a 3 inch dual exhaust
system with Flowmaster mufflers and polished tips. It sounds beefy
and healthy. The fuel tank has been replaced as well as the straps
and lines. Looking up at the motor everything up here's proper. The
oil pan has been painted black, lines look like new, lower radiator
hose is braided and has a chrome high torque starter. The 700R-4
automatic overdrive transmission appears to have been rebuilt with
no visible leaks. The drive shaft has been painted black and has
new u-joints. It is attached to the 12 bolt posi rear end with
chrome cover. The floors look great, and they have been painted
black. They appear completely solid with no visible rust. This
underbody has everything going for it!
