This 1968 Dodge Charger is a “General Lee” custom autograph car and represents one of the most iconic TV cars ever. The bright fire orange paint is a PPG 1970 Corvette flame red with 01 flag and General Lee 3M wrap vinyl, and the push bar is the early 80s smaller bar. Front grill and rear tail panel are converted to a 69. This General Lee has all the trim and bumpers powder coated gloss black, setting it apart from the screen cars, really popping against the bright flame paint. This feature garnered lots of attention from the cast and onlookers at the promotional photo shoots. Power is supplied by a 440 built crate motor with forged pistons and roller rockers, Serpentine belt system, 727 torque flight transmission, ceramic coated Doug’s headers, and Holley 750 carb. Both engine and trans were new when this car was built in 2006. With just 19k documented miles, she runs and drives like a beast. Move inside where a custom powder coated diamond plated dash imitates a racecar look, so appropriate for the General. Gauges were all new when she was built, seats are newer, with more bolster than the 69 Charger seats and headrests are made to look like the 69s. Power steering, power brakes, Vintage Air A/C, newer stereo with 6x9s, Cobra CB, and mock roll bars finish out the inside just right. Move to the trunk where inside you will find a custom mural signed by some of the surviving cast. This is something no other GL has and makes for a stunning trunk display at the shows.
