Vehicle Description
One family has owned this 1960 Chevrolet Corvette custom
convertible since 1960 and it underwent an 1,800-hour family
restoration project, showing 15 miles since completion in 2018.
With a total frame-off restoration, the frame was sand-blasted and
then powder-coated. It is powered by a fuel-injected LT1 crate V8
engine. Under the hood is a wire-tucked chromed engine bay,
aluminum heads, serpentine belt system and power rack & pinion
steering. Other mechanical highlights include a C4 Corvette front
suspension as well as C4-style on the front and Wilwood disc brakes
on the rear. The engine is backed by a 700R4 automatic overdrive
transmission with a Lokar shifter. Power goes to a 12-bolt
posi-traction rear end with 3.73 gears. It also features Hooker
headers and an all-new exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers. It
is equipped with C-clip Eliminator coilover shocks mounted next to
Boyd Coddington 17-inch chrome wheels wrapped in new BFGoodrich
235/50 R17 Advantage tires. This Corvette features all-new glass
and mirrors, all of the chrome was rechromed, stainless trim was
restored, and the restored hardtop is on the car. With a black
exterior and Fawn leather upholstery, the car's interior has
all-new dash pad, carpet, seat belts and radio, along with a
Vintage Air system, heat and defrost, and a RainGear electric
windshield wiper system. It also has been treated to a restoration
of all gauges, a new electric-controlled tachometer, new
stainless-steel gas tank with fuel pump inside and a new red-top
Optima battery. The assembly manual and other books are included
with the sale.
