Vehicle Description
This custom 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible was restored and
completed from the ground up. It is powered by a 350ci GM
Goodwrench crate engine with Edelbrock Performer intake manifold
and Edelbrock 600 CFM carburetor. The powerplant is backed by a
700R4 automatic transmission with 2,200 stall converter and a
9-inch rear end with 3.73:1 gears and parallel leaf springs. It
also features MSD ignition, K&N filtration, Extreme Heat
headers, Flowmaster mufflers and a March serpentine belt system.
This example rides on a 4-link suspension with coilovers and sits
on custom-made 18-inch front and 20-inch rear Intro wheels over
Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes. The exterior is PPG custom Lagoon Blue
and India Ivory two-stage paint. The interior features leather
front power seats, Colorado Custom steering wheel, Flaming River
steering column, Vintage Air system, power steering, power windows,
power convertible top, fabricated dash panel with Dolphin
instruments and a sound system. This example was featured in Super
Chevy magazine in 2004.
