1 of just 7,496 Cobra coupes produced in 1996, this is a real
treat. The Laser Red paint paired with a Saddle interior is a
fantastic look that walks the line between muscle car and luxury
ride. This car also hits both notes with 305 horsepower from the
4.6 liter V8 engine and a long list of options.
The engine is backed by a 5-speed manual transmission, 4-wheel
power disc brakes, and power steering for a driving experience that
anyone can enjoy! Leather and cloth upholstery, tilt steering,
cruise control, A/C, AM/FM/CD player, alloy wheels, radial tires,
rear spoiler, and factory tachometer add to those options.
The 1996 was the first year Ford went away from the 5.0-liter that
had powered the Fox Body Mustangs. The new 4.6-Liter V8 was peppy
and had a great sound! This car shows just 74,837 miles on a
6-digit odometer and never shows any higher than that on the
CarFax. While we cannot claim actual mileage, due to the title
saying Exempt, those two things point to this car having just
74,837 miles!
It is a very original vehicle with only the driver's seat being
recovered, and normal maintenance parts being replaced. The
original Ford stickers are still in the door and show the E9 color
code clearly. This would make a great weekend cruiser, first car,
race car, entry level classic muscle car, or car to hold on to
until this era really gains value over the next 5-10 years.
