For Sale: 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

Stunning looks! Well, that's just the icing on this cake: it is powered by an LS1 and a manual 6-speed. It also has an upgraded chassis to handle what you give it. Only 2,623 miles on a frame off build.

EXTERIOR: She is a beauty! The body is in excellent shape, even being black. It is laser straight, the panels line up nicely, and it has a metal cowl hood. The black paint is polished very smooth and glossy. The white SS stripes are painted on and smooth to the touch. Overall, the chrome and trim look great, most of it being new. The windshield was replaced. It's sitting really proud on a set of new $3,800 wheels that were just added. Great stance with 18s in front and 20s in the back. They're wrapped in performance tires, extra wide in back. The power convertible top was upgraded with black cloth.

INTERIOR: The white interior looks incredible against the black exterior. It has been upgraded with a TMI custom interior. This includes custom side panels and sport seats. The dash area has been completely restored: new deluxe wheel, dash pad, instrument panel. Upgraded with some modern gauges, electric Vintage Air controls and a retro stereo which has speakers in the kick panels. Down on the floor is set of SS embroidered mats and original style console with a six-speed shifter sticking out of it!

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It is powered by a remanufactured all aluminum 5.7L-400 hp LS1, the reman tag is attached to the motor. On top is a Power Plus custom intake and Pro Products injection system. It has stainless headers and custom valve covers. The front of the motor has a complete billet runner system with serpentine belt and pulleys, polished components including the a/c compressor and modern power steering. It runs cool with an aluminum radiator and dual electric fans. The power brake system is chrome plated. The engine bay is beautiful: the firewall was made smooth and it's all painted gloss black. A set of billet hinges really finish it off.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and the jamb are painted glossy, weatherstrip was replaced. Inside has been boxed and upholstered.

UNDERSIDE: It was a body off frame restoration with upgrades. The front suspension was completely rebuilt and upgraded with a rack & pinion steering. In back it has all new suspension, added sway bar, boxed control arms and coil over adjustable gas shocks. The brake system has been completely redone and upgraded with drilled and slotted discs at all four of the wheels, e-brake is hooked up. Custom fat exhaust system with an h-pipe, Flowmaster mufflers and the SS cowbell tips. The fuel system has been replaced including the tank. Looking up at the motor it has an aluminum oil pan and high torque starter. It's a 6-speed manual trans with a hydraulic clutch. A rebuilt drive shaft goes back to a 12 bolt rear end with polished aluminum cover. The frame was powder coated and chassis components were prepped and painted semi gloss black. The floors are rock solid and have been neatly sprayed with a black undercoat.

SERVICE: We inspected the car and we changed the oil, replaced the spark plugs, put in a new radiator, fixed the reverse lights, adjusted the glove box latch, replaced a convertible top cylinder and bled the system, aligned the windows, repaired the e-brake, adjusted the exhaust and repaired the air cleaner.

You want one gorgeous that can cook and clean, well this one does it all!

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum.
