This 1989 GMC Suburban SLE is a super clean truck that spent its
life in Arizona and California before it was sold by us. The last
few years it has been used a summer toy only and has had a lot of
money invested. This Burb has some cool updates and has always been
maintained with an open checkbook. The original owner was very anal
and we have a large binder full of receipts because he maintained
it with an open checkbook. The body on this rig is clean and
straight. The white and beige paint appears to be all original and
still looks excellent with only very minor wear and tear from
driving over the years. All of the chrome and trim also looks
great! The underside of this Suburban is extra clean and there are
no rust issues with this truck and there never have been. When this
truck left Arizona the new owner had the underside sprayed with a
wax coating (cosmoline) to keep it nice. It is one of the cleanest
undercarriages we have seen.
The interior of this truck is super nice and a testament to how
well it was cared for and maintained. It still has the original GM
Factory Mats. This is one of the nicest original squarebody
interiors we have seen. The headliner was replaced and looks new.
The headlights, taillights, brake lights, and turn signals are all
working. The power windows and power locks work. It has tilt wheel
and working cruise control. The horn, wipers, heat, and AC are also
all working!! This truck does have the 3rd row seat as well. It has
rear AC but the fan makes some noise and it will have to be looked
at.
Mechanically this vehicle is great!! It starts easy and runs and
drives excellent!! The engine is the original 5.7L 350 TBI that is
all stock except for headers and new dual exhaust that was
installed in the last 6 months. They also added no leak manifold
gaskets. It runs excellent and runs strong. The transmission is the
700R4 Automatic that shifts nice and it was rebuilt. We have the
receipt and there are around 38,000 miles on the rebuild. It is
mated to the np241c transfer case and the 4WD works like it should.
It has a 10 Bolt rear axle with a limited slip and 3.73 gears. The
front axle is also a 10 Bolt with 3.73 gears. Around 2 years ago
this truck received a new 4 Inch all spring lift with new springs,
new shocks, and new bushings. It also had all four ball joints and
front wheel bearings replaced. They added 4 new aluminum wheels
plus a spare with brand new BFG All terrain tires when the lift was
completed. This cost over $7,000 to complete. This is an awesome
vehicle for someone that is ready to go.
