We will start with the exterior of this Bel Air. As you walk around
it, you'll notice that it has an excellent fit of the panels, hood,
and doors. This is a hard-top model, and we can see that the glass
goes up and down with a great fit as well and that both doors open
and close with ease. When this car was restored all the Chrome and
stainless were either polished to like new finish or were replaced.
It does a great job of accenting the 2-tone turquoise and white
color scheme that has been redone and base code clear code. You'll
notice that both the front and rear bumpers have a beautiful finish
and that it does sport both the front and rear bumper guards. All
the glass in this Chevrolet is in very nice condition along with
the seals and weather stripping. Also, all the lights wipers and
turn signals are working as they should. To finish off the stamps
it's sitting on a set of American racing wheels.
Next, we will look at the interior of this 55. The interior follows
suit with the exterior as it's done in the 2 tone blue and white
color scheme that flows perfectly with the exterior. It does
feature the standard crank windows and vent windows. It also comes
with the bench seat option up front and in the rear. At the time of
the restoration new carpet and headliner were installed, and you'll
notice that all the headliner trim is very nice. Looking at the
dash it has a stock feel as it has factory-style gauges and
speedometer that are working as well. A new digital radio has been
installed but has not been hooked up to new speakers. You'll also
notice that vintage air conditioning was added with the vents
located under the dash and the controls in the factory location.
Inside the trunk is all solid and has been finished out with the
trunk liner.
Finally, we will get to the heartbeat of this Chevrolet. Under the
hood, it's all solid as the inner fenders and firewall look to be
in great condition. The power comes from a 350 V8 engine that's set
up with a four-barrel intake and carb. It's dressed out in the
finned valve covers and air cleaner. We can see that the radiator
support was upgraded along with having the Griffin radiator
installed. This '55 does come with vintage AC & Heat along with
having Power Steering and Power Brakes with disc up front. For
exhaust, it has manifolds with dual pipes and mufflers. The 350 V8
runs through the 700R automatic transmission and stock-style rear
end. When we look under this '55 we can see that the floor pans are
all solid and look to be in great condition. The frame also looks
excellent and has been very well cared for over the years. All the
suspension and bushings also look very nice. On the highway, this
'55 runs out very nice and handles with ease. Don't miss your
chance to own a beautiful classic that's ready to cruise, show and
enjoy.
