Vehicle Description
This 1984 Pontiac Firebird "KITT" re-creation is powered by a
5.0-liter V8 engine backed by an A200R automatic transmission.
Equipped with many of the custom features of the original "KITT"
from the TV series "Knight Rider," the dash is adorned with all the
lights and gizmo controls, including two communication TV screens.
It has the yoke steering with "Knight Industries" insignia. It
comes with a "Knight" license plate, a David Hasselhoff "Michael
Knight" life-size cutout and framed memorabilia. This "KITT"
re-creation was personally built and owned by Red Harden, who
helped build the original "KITT." Harden often did custom work on
the cars of famous actors and his most notable pieces launched him
into cinema car fame, including the iconic vehicles "Dragula" and
the "Munster Koach" from the 1960s sitcom "The Munsters." CARFAX
