Dubbed, “Envious”, this 1960 Cadillac Series 62 Custom Coupe is rolling artwork with its streamline and elegant design. It's powered by a GM Performance 572/620HP V8 crate engine with Hillborn 8 Stack fuel injection and 4L80E automatic transmission. This car was built by Tom Welsh of Auto Crafters located in Denver, NC. It was the product of a 6-year build that started in 2017 and was finished in 2023. Since completion it's never been exposed until now. The vision of this build was to design the ultimate American classic luxury car with the heart of a muscle car. The insight and innovation resulted in this masterpiece. During the refurbishment process every piece was meticulously restored or replaced new. The extremely straight body retains all of its original sheet metal and has excellent panel fitment. The mirrors, marker lights, door handles, key cylinders and front bumper were shaved for a smooth appearance. It was painted with PPG Ford Lime Gold by artist Scott Deluca. The color highlights the art deco styling and dresses it to the nines. The show quality paintwork was recently detailed to a high level. It was outfitted with all new tinted glass which is crystal clear. All the stainless and chrome plating was redone by Paul's Chrome Plating located in Evans City, PA. The front grill was re-finished in black with chrome bullets by King of Trim in Pacoima, CA. The car has a great stance on 18” Colorado Custom Stella polished wheels with Diamond Back whitewall tires. The interior was done by craftsman and upholster Richard Perez of R.P. Interiors located in Horseheads, NY. The fit and finish work is second to none. The custom headliner and sun visors were upholstered in Sage Green suede. During the transformation the glove box and ash tray were removed. The dash was recovered by Just Dashes located in Van Nuys, CA. The custom 1965 Ford Thunderbird bucket seats, matching rear seats, kick panels, door panels, full length center console and rear package shelf were wrapped in Sage Green leather with a decorative material throughout. The dark green plush carpeting and molded floor mats with leather piping blends in beautifully. Some interior custom features include Cadillac engraved door sill plates, Dakota Digital instrument panel, Flaming River tilt steering column, Con2r 3-spoke polished steering wheel, LED shift indicator, Vintage Air Conditioning, Custom Autosound AM/FM/Bluetooth stereo, Nu-Relic power vents and windows, storage compartment, front and rear cup holders. The trunk compartment was boxed with fabricated steel painted panels and circle vents. The side panels were upholstered in suede and are magnetic for quick removal. The engine compartment is highly detailed throughout. The painted firewall is CNC machined from aluminum. The painted inner fenders and radiator support panel are fabricated steel with bead roll designs. The heart of the car is a GM Performance 572 V8 crate engine rated with 620hp. The engine was outfitted with a Hillborn 8 stack electronic fuel injection setup with Holley fuel management system. The custom valve covers, 8 stacks, reservoir container and suspension covers were refinished in Bronze Cerakote. The engine was dressed with a custom serpentine system. The engine is cooled by a HD radiator with SPAL electric fan that is enclosed by a fabricated steel painted shroud. The engine breathes through custom headers and 2.5” dual exhaust system. The engine is coupled to a GM Performance 4L80E automatic transmission and 9” rear end housing with 3.55 gears. The undercarriage is also highly detailed throughout. The original chassis was modified for the one piece driveshaft and all the mounts were fabricated. It's equipped with Ridetech air ride system and Baer 4-wheel disc brakes with 6-piston red calipers. This car has been completely serviced and detailed which is documented with an invoice that's included. This is the first time it's been marketed for sale. From the MS CLASSIC CARS Collection.
