Challenger that has been rotisserie restored. THIS VEHICLE IS BEING
SOLD ON A SALVAGE TITLE. The owner states the vehicle has never had
any frame/chassis damage. This factory A/C car appears to be
numbers matching(engine) and the 340 V8 has been rebuilt and is
paired with a Tremec 5 speed manual for a better modern feel and
more highway capable. The car was originally green, but the black
paint shows very well and is complimented well by the factory
optioned R/T decal option. According to the owner, the car was put
on frame machine and all was perfect, front to back, side to side
and diagonally. Almost every part underneath powder coated. The
rear end was rebuilt, all new glass, correct exhaust manifolds, new
tires and wheels, new ball joints, all new suspension parts, new
exhaust, rear end rebuilt, bumpers re-chromed, all wear parts
replaced. Aftermarket OWM look stereo with Bluetooth. The owner
states that over $88,000 was invested.
From 1970 through 1974, the first generation dodge Challenger pony
car was built using the Chrysler E platform in both hardtop and
convertible body styles sharing major components with the
Barracuda. Both the Barracuda and Challenger were poised to compete
against the Mercury Cougar/ Ford Mustang and Chevrolet
Camaro/Pontiac Firebird. The Challenger was built to be Chryslers
most potent pony car ever. It was built with a staggering number of
trim and option levels along with engine and transmission
options.
