This 1968 Chevrolet C10 Custom pickup was fully restored in 2019 and was just recently completed with only 900 miles since restored. It has a completely rebuilt 6.0-liter Vortec V8, overhauling the 4L80E four-speed automatic transmission, replacing braking, suspension, valvetrain, and exhaust components, repainting the exterior light blue and white, and reupholstering interior surfaces in brown leather. Additional equipment includes a Summit Racing camshaft, a drive-by-wire throttle body, ceramic-coated LS3 exhaust manifolds, 20″ U.S. Mags wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, a lowered suspension, a wood bed floor, a Billet Specialties steering wheel, Dakota Digital gauges, cruise control, a Vintage Air climate control system, and a Bluetooth-capable stereo. This truck has been completely disassembled and stripped to bare metal, performing rust repair, replacing the windshield, bumpers, bedsides, and tailgate, shortening the frame, repainting the truck in two-tone light blue and white, and installing LED headlights and taillights.. The chrome-finished 20″ U.S. Mags wheels are mounted with Nitto NT555 G2 tires. The coil springs, tie rods, ball joints, Pitman arm, idler arm, control arm shafts, and trailing arm bushings are said to have been replaced during the refurbishment, at which time the frame was reportedly C-notched, the following components were installed:
•CPP front and rear lowering coils
•CPP modular front lowering spindles
•CPP front and rear sway bars
•CPP rear track bar
•CPP shocks
•Rear lowering block
•AZ Pro Performance Relevator front and rear big brake kit
•14″ cross-drilled and slotted front brake rotors
•13″ cross-drilled and slotted rear brake rotors
•Black-finished brake calipers
•Braided stainless brake lines
The wood bed slats and metal runners are refinished during the restoration. A fuel filler with a polished aluminum cap is fitted within the bed. The bench seat, door panels, dash pad, steering wheel, and sun visors were reupholstered in brown leather and the carpets were replaced. Appointments include cruise control, a Vintage Air climate control system, three-point outboard seat belts, a center lap belt, a Bluetooth-capable stereo, and aftermarket speakers. The three-spoke Billet Specialties steering wheel frames Dakota Digital instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, a clock, and supplementary gauges. The steering column was rebuilt. The 6.0-liter Vortec V8 is was installed in 2021 and is reportedly fitted with a Summit Racing camshaft, a drive-by-wire throttle body, ceramic-coated LS3 exhaust manifolds, an aftermarket wiring harness and mufflers, an aluminum radiator, Holley Hooker engine mount brackets, an aluminum oil pan, and a K&N air filter. the lifters, push rods, rockers, valve springs, and fuel injectors were also replaced along with the oil, water, and power steering pumps. the replacement 4L80E four-speed automatic transmission was overhauled, the axles were replaced, and a Detroit TrueTrac differential with 3.73:1 gearing was installed. The truck is also equipped with a Flex-A-Lite transmission cooler, a 1350 forged pinion yoke, and an aluminum driveshaft.
