Mechanical When you look under the hood, the power comes from a
four-barrel-equipped 400 cubic inch small-block Chevrolet V8 engine
mated to a Turbo-Hydramatic 3-speed automatic transmission. It
looks like it is all brand new has been kept up well with a lot of
factory parts such as the orange painted engine block and intake,
with the addition of the Edelbrock black and polished open air
cleaner assembly and the matching valve covers, four-barrel carb,
exhaust headers, power steering, power brakes, and factory air
conditioning, with the engine sitting in a very clean and detailed
engine compartment. The A/C blows cold and this truck runs very
nicely. Dual exhausts exit the rear and sound great when you get
into the throttle. Interior The restored interior presents as well
as the outside as the Custom was a great looking trim level in the
lineup, and has features and options that included nice comfort and
convenience features like tan carpeting and black floor mats, full
matching tan door trim, luxurious looking brown bucket seats with a
matching center console, factory dash with all the gauges and
equipment that is functional, tan factory spoke steering wheel,
aftermarket stereo system, and the air conditioning that blows
cold. Exterior These Chevrolet trucks were straight-lined and boxy
in appearance, leading to their 'Square-body' nickname and the
chassis was an all-new design with it receiving a leaf-spring rear
suspension and the heavy-duty 12-bolt rear end too. Ours is painted
in a pleasing green paint scheme that gives the truck an upscale
look with the bed lined in black to protect it, has dual towing
mirrors, and rides on factory wheels with spinner caps, with Cooper
Cobra raised white letter Radial GT performance tires. Conclusion
These 1969 Chevrolet Custom trucks, like the one we have here at
Skyway Classics, are very hot right now and this one is sure to
move quick. Great options, 400 cubic inch engine and automatic
transmission combination, and the desirable green color combination
make this truck a great addition to anyone's garage or a great work
truck. So give us a call at 941-254-6608. Disclaimer Information
