For Sale at Auction: 1999 Shelby Series 1 in West Palm Beach, Florida

Vehicle Description

The Shelby Series 1 is a high-performance roadster developed, designed and built entirely under Carroll Shelby's direction. This build used modern engineering and materials in assembling the Shelby Series 1 included a high-strength all-aluminum chassis, modern carbon-fiber bodywork and a Shelby-modified Oldsmobile Aurora 320hp twin-cam L47 V8 engine. The curb weight is only 2,650 pounds. Along with a sleek design, the 50/50 front and rear weight distribution allows the engine power to do 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds and records 12.8 seconds in the quarter-mile, which is 15 mph faster than the 427 Shelby Cobra. Unrestricted, the Series 1 can reach a top speed of 170 mph. This Series 1 is finished in silver with blue racing stripes. It is preserved and original throughout and features include a folding convertible soft-top, power side windows, power steering, power disc brakes, factory air conditioning and an original radio sound system. This is car #39 out of the known 249 produced in 1999 and was personally signed by Carroll Shelby. In addition to Carroll Shelby's autograph, this one-of-a-kind Shelby Series 1 also includes a steering column cover signed by the Build Team at Shelby, a signed Shelby Series 1 jacket, a signed Shelby Series 1 portrait and the original owner's manual. 1,836 actual miles. From the Prestige Collection.
