Gateway Classic Cars of San Antonio/Austin is proud to introduce
the 1951 MG TD. In the world of sportscars no genre has the cult
following quite like British roadsters and among this class the
long line of MGs stands out the most. The classic body lines are
draped handsomely in a classic soft yellow paint job. As you walk
around the vehicle, you'll notice nice details like the prominent
front grill and alloy wheels. This TD is powered by the 1,250 CC
4-cylinder engine that still retains the original brass MG number
tag, verifying the block is matching, and is teamed with a 4-speed
manual transmission. The cabin features a split bench seat trimmed
in tan vinyl upholstery accompanied by color-coordinated dashboard,
carpets with MG branded mats and door panels with map pockets. A
banjo-style steering wheel fronts Jaeger instrumentation including
a tachometer with an inset clock as well as a 100-mph speedometer,
an amp meter, and a combination gauge for oil pressure and water
temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 2k miles, although true
mileage is unknown. One drive and you'll see why it's so easy to
love an MG and why the market for these cars is on the way up.
