Vehicle Description
1964 PONTIAC GTO-THE ORIGINAL MUSCLE CAR! ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS,
FACTORY 4-SPEED This 1964 Pontiac GTO shows really well in its
factory color, code L Marimba Red. We have all original documents
from day one. It's very hard to find a 1964 GTO let alone one that
has original documents. It has excellent fit and finish and appears
to be all original panels. All of the trim is nice. Up front, the
bumper has been re-chromed, the grills and headlight bezels have
been polished as well as the hood scoops and hood emblem! All the
stainless around the windows and doors have been polished. In the
rear, the bumper has been re-chromed and the rear tail panel is in
good shape. All of the window seals and weather stripping have been
replaced including the vent window seals. It also sports a set of
steel wheels with a set of Pontiac dog dish hubcaps and a set of
redline tires. The engine compartment is nicely detailed with its
original 389 ci engine, which has been upgraded with a tri-power
set up. We do have the original intake manifold, 4 barrel carb and
air cleaner that will go with the car when sold. It has correct GM
hoses, tower clamps and factory spring type battery cables. It also
features upgraded power front disc brakes and a correct 4-core
radiator with a correct fan shroud. Everything is painted and
restored to look correct. The seats have new cushions and have been
re-upholstered. It has all new door panels, armrest bases and pads,
window cranks and door handles. Looking at the dash, it appears to
be original. The lenses are clear, all the gauges look original and
even has the optional tachometer. The factory steering wheel has
been restored to new condition and there is a retro AM/FM radio.
The underside appears to be all clean metal. Looking up at the
bottom of the motor-it is clean as well as the M20 muncie
transmission. It has a 3:55 posi rear end and a dual exhaust that
runs all the way out the back with factory style mufflers. The
E-brake assembly is complete and working. The trunk is detailed and
painted the same as the exterior. It is complete with a factory
trunk mat, spare tire and jack assembly and jacking instructions
decal. There is also new weather stripping. This is the one that
started it all! Sixty years ago the 1964 GTO was born! Not only
does it look awesome but it functions just as well!! Excellent
investment!!
