Vehicle Description
This 1978 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am features the original
matching-numbers drivetrain with a 400ci V8 engine and automatic
transmission with posi-traction. Completed in September 2023 after
a 2.5-year restoration, it is finished in Starlight Black with
Special Edition Bandit striping. It has been upgraded with WS6
components, including wheels and tires. Other custom features
include a stainless-steel exhaust system, functional hood scoop and
front fender air extractor grilles in Gold with Amber LED lights.
The original factory air conditioning components are all-new using
134 with a new condenser, evaporator, fan motor, control switch,
muffler, upgraded compressor and heater core. The interior has been
completely redone, including seats, headliner door panels, carpets
and new floor mats, and features a custom Vintage stereo radio with
Bluetooth, CD and amplifier. It was a one-family-owned vehicle
until February 2021. This Trans Am was built on May 15, 1978, and
sold new on May 31, 1978, at JM Pontiac in Hollywood, FL. The
original owner passed it on to a family member and the car has been
in Florida car its entire life. Assembled in Van Nuys, CA, it comes
with a factory Build Sheet and sales receipt to the original owner,
original owner's manual and delivery dealer envelope. 70,038 miles
(title reads exempt).
