Vehicle Description
This professionally built custom 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Resto-Mod
is powered by an all-aluminum 555ci Donovan block that produces
over 850hp, mated to a modified Richmond T10 4-speed manual
transmission with a .82 overdrive. The engine compartment is
equipped with Dart aluminum cylinder heads, 765 lift solid roller
cam, MSD ignition, Hilborn electronic fuel injection, lightweight
crankshaft from Callies and Crower billet connecting rods. The
professionally modified chassis has been painted in the body color.
It also includes Corvette C5 suspension up front and C4 suspension
in the rear, along with 4-wheel disc brakes, and is riding on
custom Colorado Custom 18-inch rear and 17-inch wheels wrapped in
Michelin Pilot performance tires. The body has many custom
modifications and is finished in a custom pearl-mix orange paint.
The custom interior features a polished tilt steering column, power
windows, hidden switches in ashtray, lightweight racing seats and a
custom roll bar neat tucked away for a clean look. The upholstery
is done in custom-made tan leather with a 5-point safety harness
from G-Force. The original-style gauges and Carabine ECU monitor
the engine. This award-winning custom Corvette has previously been
featured in the Meguiar's booth at SEMA and has also been featured
car in Hot Rod magazine. It has been shown twice in ISCA and once
in Chicago, where it won First in Class, Best Custom and Best of
Show. It was also shown at the Detroit Autorama, where it won
another Best Custom Award and First in Class.
