Vehicle Description
Beep-beep! Plymouth's legendary Road Runner made for the ultimate
muscle car. The formula was simple: take a common and inexpensive
bodystyle, strip out all the unnecessary bits, lower the stance,
widen the tires, and drop in a massive powerplant that's sure to
light up the rear axle at any time. This 1969 Road Runner is no
exception, powered by a formidable, numbers-matching 383 C.I. V8
breathing through a 4-barrel carburetor sitting inside an
immaculate engine bay. Torque is stomped into the pavement through
an equally numbers-matching A-727 "Torqueflite" 3-speed automatic
transmission, sure to put a smile on your face as this Road Runner
speeds down the highway. Original drivetrains like that are hard to
come by, even more so in an application as attractive as this Road
Runner! The exterior's laser-straight bodylines are bathed in the
same correct F8-code "Ivy Green Metallic" paint as this Road Runner
came with from the factory, repainted to a high standard and buffed
out to a brilliant shine. Complimenting black matte rally stripes
and a black vinyl top pair to that "Ivy Green Metallic"
beautifully, and the chrome brightwork gleams exceptionally in the
sun. Furthermore, the floors, frame, trunk and jambs are all
rock-solid and in great shape! Opening the large twin doors reveals
a beautifully-restored two-tone dark green vinyl interior, complete
with factory gauges and an original AM radio! Options on this mean
green Road Runner include power steering, a working BEEP BEEP horn,
an 8 & 3/4" rear axle with 3.23 gearing, factory gauges, an
original AM radio, vent windows, a driver's-side chrome mirror,
under-dash aux. gauges, and stock exhaust manifolds with a dual
exhaust system that's got a great sound. The car rides on a
stunning set of like-new 15" Magnum 500 wheels over Hoosier Radial
GT tires for a factory-fresh look straight out of a Plymouth
advertisement! With a combination of great power and mean sound,
this '69 Plymouth runs, drives, and handles extremely well. For
sure, this Roadrunner is just waiting for the chance to get back
out onto the road, and we think you'd look pretty good outrunning
Wile E. Coyote behind the wheel.
