For Sale: 1967 Chevrolet Camaro in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

The "Pacemaker" made its debut at the 2008 SEMA show and then went on to win first place at many Camaro shows across the heartland. It even won best Camaro at the Joliet IL Super Chevy Show. Professionally built by "The Custom Shop", look them up they build high end customs. This car originally cost over $150,000 to build. Only 1,324 miles since finished. It was also featured in a six-page layout of muscle car power magazine.

EXTERIOR: Totally custom and totally cool! This high-end paint job is accentuated with many airbrushed details making it stand apart from the rest. The multicolor paint is shiny and presents beautifully. The one-of-a-kind fender portholes give this Camaro a unique aesthetic. Other custom body mods include shaved rain gutters, a deleted front bumper and refabricated front valance with air inlets. It has a cowl hood with racing pins, front spoiler and custom cut rear spoiler. It also features the Rally Sport electric hideaway headlights. 10 spoke staggered 19 and 20 inch mags by Petrol are a tasteful addition to the contemporary styling. It also has LED taillights and custom Chevy bowtie running lights. The windshield and rear window have been cleanly flush mounted. The more you look at this car the more custom details you will notice. With air ride you can adjust the stance, slam it to the ground when parked. It's incredible!

INTERIOR: The interior is a true expression of style and comfort combined. Let's start with the custom leather wrapped bucket sport seats. They are color coordinated to the car and have orange stitching. Take a seat and immediately notice not only the comfort but lumbar and bolster supports to keep you in place when in motion, the front seats are power. Custom buckets in the rear also. They side panels are probably the most custom I've seen with elaborate design. The headliner is certainly unique too. This car was originally in the Sony booth at 2008 SEMA show. It features more than adequate 4000 watt stereo system with multiple speakers and even a TV screen. The exterior paint scheme is carried over into the interior with custom orange lighting. Super sharp and super custom all around!

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Lots of chrome and billet give this 454 big block a show quality look that is sure to impress! The motor is ready to rock with an Endurashine intake dual feed Holley carb, HEI ignition and headers. The front of the motor is full of billet components: pulleys, brackets, a/c compressor, alternator, and a modern power steering system. The power brake components are shiny like jewelry. The billet hinges match the fenders supports. All the hoses and wires are run appropriately and look very neat. A big aluminum radiator with an electric fan keeps it cool. The underside of the cowl hood is painted to match the body. The firewall has been smoothed and has an etched aluminum Pacemaker plaque that matches the air brushed 1/4 panel. Overall this compartment is nice and clean. Truly a show and go combo!

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: There are no shortage of custom touches in the trunk compartment either. Fully boxed and upholstered with custom lights. It is extremely detailed and houses Kenwood amplifiers, a shutoff switch for the air ride as well as the compressor and tank. The underside of the trunk has a filler panel and operates with billet hinges. The trunk is exceptional overall. I really appreciate how they continued the color scheme and theme with every detail.

UNDERSIDE: The undercarriage is very clean and well put together with many performance suspension upgrades. All the steering components appear to have been replaced during restoration. The hardware still looks fresh. Speedtech tubular control arms are attached to an adjustable air ride suspension. A 4 link rear suspension is tied to adjustable airbags also. The brakes have been upgraded to a Baer system with 6 piston calipers in front and slotted and drilled rotors at all 4 wheels. Long tube headers are attached to a custom exhaust with X-Pipe and Magnaflow mufflers that have this 454 sounding absolutely sweet. The fuel tank along with the entire underbody has been repainted. Looking up at the motor It has been painted the classic Chevy Orange with no visible leaks and a high torque starter. The Muncie 4-speed trans looks clean and rebuilt at some point. The floors are rust free and in nice condition. The rear has been Minitubbed providing space for the beefy rear tires. Overall, this is a prim and proper undercarriage.

SERVICE: Our shop completed a thorough inspection of this vehicle. Only minor issues were discovered including: an alignment, replace the wiper switch, charge the A/C system, and replace the trans mount. All of these maintenance items were repaired accordingly. This car is ready to cruise the local car shows and cruise nights!

One of the coolest and most custom Camaros to ever hit the streets! Very skillfully crafted with great attention to detail! A multiple award winner that is sure to awe the masses. Keep in mind this was built in 2008, today's award-winning custom builds start at 1/4 million dollars at most professional shops. I sell stock Camaros in nice shape for the same price or more than this one is selling for. This is a great value for someone that wants a very custom build for well under $100,000.
