Description:
This 1972 Datsun 240Z is said to have spent approximately 50 years
with its second owner before it was acquired by us. Powered by a
2.4-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission,
the car has been refinished in orange over white vinyl. The car is
equipped with front disc brakes, steel 14? wheels with Z-branded
covers, and a heater as well as an AM/FM stereo with an eight-track
cassette player
Interior:
The bucket seats are upholstered in White vinyl, which extends to
the door panels and the sides of the center console. Appointments
include a wooden shift knob, a center console, an electric rear
window defogger, a heater, and an AM/FM stereo with an eight-track
cassette player. The seller states that the headliner is missing,
the clock is inoperative, and the center console is cracked.
Corrosion is visible on the inside of the cargo hatch. The
woodgrain steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and
tachometer with a 7k-rpm redline. An analog clock and gauges for
coolant temperature, oil pressure, amperage, and fuel level are
housed over the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 60k
miles.
Exterior:
The car has been repainted in orange, and it features chrome
bumpers with rubber overriders and end caps. Additional exterior
details include a driver-side mirror, Z badging on the C-pillars,
and bright door handles and window trim.
Drivetrain:
The 2.4-liter inline-six was factory equipped with dual side-draft
carburetors. Factory-rated output was 151 horsepower and 146 lb-ft
of torque. Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed
manual transmission. Note corrosion on the front frame rails. Steel
14? wheels wearing five-spoke Z-branded covers are mounted with
195/70 Hankook tires. The car was factory equipped with an
independent suspension, a front stabilizer bar, and rack-and-pinion
steering. Stopping is provided by power-assisted front disc and
rear drum brakes.
