The original "Pony Car" has been popular since the day it went on
sale in April of 1964. This great looking 1965 Ford Mustang Coupe
is a great example of why enthusiasts continue to drive and collect
these iconic cars. Painted sportingly in Silver with black accent
stripes, this handsome Mustang's great looks are enhanced by a set
of 15-inch American Racing Mustang GT replica wheels wrapped with
performance radial tires staggered 205/70R15 front and 245/60R15
rear, giving it just the right stance.
The interior features a rare factory bench seat with a comfortable
fold-down armrest. Of the 372,123 Mustang coupes produced in 1965,
only a mere 14,905 were ordered with a bench seat, making this car
much rarer than most mustangs available today. Other interior
features include a period-correct style custom steering wheel and a
set of SunPro gauges mounted under the dash that monitor volts,
engine temperature and oil pressure.
Powering this classic pony is a 289 V8 mated to a 3-speed
Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission with factory floor shifter.
The engine bay is clean and well organized and features a Holley
4-barrel carburetor, chrome open-element air cleaner, Micky
Thompson finned valve covers and HEI ignition. A set of long tube
headers breathe out through a throaty dual exhaust system fitted
with Pypes Street Pro mufflers with stainless tips.
This 1965 Ford Mustang Coupe, with its rare factory bench seat, is
a great looking and driving car that is a pleasure to drive. Call
