1964 Chevrolet Impala SS Updated 4-21-2024
Total off frame restoration using the original parts when possible and using H&H Classic parts to supply needed replacements. Received a new tachometer from H&H Classic because the old one seemed to jump around and to me actual engine RPM is a must. Looks and Drives Beautifully. The restoration has less than 500 miles with most coming from a cruise night near Oklahoma City. My son has fulfilled his dream of allowing his mom and dad to relive the memories of cruising around in a red 1964 Impala SS when they started dating. We together have shared many new memories "Cruising" around in this one of a kind off frame restoration all new inside and out with A/C, front wheel disc brakes and 20 inch tires. With a new 96 Vortec 350 engine and a snipper fuel injection system. The 700R4 rebuilt automatic transmission gives "Driving Pleasure" heading down the interstate at 75 mph with a rpm of 1900 allowing the dual pipe exhaust to sing with the sound of power. Just got back from a 45 mile Sunday drive with my son. He took some more pictures to add. I will now update my odometer reading to 12965 miles but still has less than 500 miles on the restoration with a total of 484 miles from the date a completion on January 12, 2024.
Today is April 21, 2024 and I need to update the listing on my 1964 Impala SS because my son has wanted to live some more memories together to bring the total mileage to 13309, with 828 miles from the date of total restoration. We went to a car show on the 13th and classic cruise the 20th. Please notice a new picture just added showing the business card of my friend that help me remove our names from the headrest. We had listed with Autohunter.com and the question was asked about the headrest but without a bid. My son thought that because the car was "Personalized" it was lowering the value of the Impala. I have now removed everything with our names on it and is now ready for the new owners to enjoy and make their own memories without the reminders of any previous owners.
