Body off frame restoration in 2022! Very desirable four-wheel
drive, short bed, square body truck. We have a folder stuffed with
receipts. Hundreds of new parts were installed right down to the
little details. It's practically like brand new, actually one of
the best restorations we have!
EXTERIOR: This short bed truck literally has show quality fit and
finish. Southern truck, all rust free clean metal. It's absolutely
straight and fits right. The bright red paint is polished like
glass. Pretty much all the pieces of chrome, trim, handles,
bumpers, grill have been replaced. All the glass and weatherstrips
were replaced. It has some nice looking chrome bed rails. New rally
with BFG All Terrain tires.
INTERIOR: It looks new inside as well. The metal is painted slick
bright red. Everything else looks new: door panels, window cranks,
instrument panel, carpet etc. recushioned and upholstered seat.
Upgraded with Vintage Air heater control panel. Also upgraded with
a retro digital stereo.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Literally a detailed, show quality engine
compartment. Rebuilt 350 with aluminum intake, Edelbrock carb and
HEI ignition. A Vintage Air heat and air conditioning system was
added. It also features power steering and power brakes. Every
component looks like new from the wiper motor to the master
cylinder, alternator etc. Right down to every nut, bolt, wire and
clamp it looks like new. It's complete with the fan shroud, hood
insulation, squirters are hooked up, even the original jack
assembly is restored and in its proper place. All the metal
surfaces are painted very smooth and neatly.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The tailgate functions properly. Inside the box
is pristine straight metal painted gloss red. The bed floor is
color matched durable bed liner.
UNDERSIDE: The body was lifted off the frame for a complete
restoration. The pristine metal floors were so nice they painted
them gloss red. The entire chassis was prepped and painted. The 4
wheel drive is working. The steering and suspension have been
rebuilt. It has upgraded shocks. The brakes have been rebuilt,
there's disc in front and the e-brake is hooked up. The fuel tank
looks new. It has a neatly installed dual exhaust system. A new
tire is mounted on a rally wheel for a spare. Looking up at the
motor it is still spotless. The trans is a heavy-duty manual
four-speed with a low first gear. It uses a hydraulic clutch. The
transfer case and rear end looks fresh.
SERVICE: After our inspection we fixed the reverse lights, replaced
the oil pressure sending unit, fixed the gas gauge, horn, volt
gauge connection and charged the a/c. We replaced the high beam
switch, adjusted the rear brakes and cables, bled the system, and
replaced exhaust manifold gaskets.
