Avocado Green
A head-turning street rod that's dashed with a fair amount of
muscle car swagger, this all-steel Ford features a detailed, custom
appearance that's highlighted by a spectacular coat of custom
Avocado Green 2-stage paint. The striking color wraps a subtly
modified profile that, during its ground-up restoration, was
stripped bare and lovingly massaged to form. And today, this
classic rolls as one lights-out head turner that's virtually
guaranteed to make you weak in the knees!
There really isn't much you can do to make an early '40s Ford more
attractive. The car's streamlined styling was a homerun when
originally introduced; and today, it's a stunning example of some
of the strongest elements of the highly regarded Art Deco movement.
At the front of this cherry custom, broad fenders center a
sectioned and pinched hood above a sleek custom split front bumper
and modern LED lighting. The straight sides of the car were
smoothed by the removal of mirrors, and door handles, and further
accentuated by the addition of custom formed polished aluminum
trim. Out back frenched Corvette taillights compliment custom
exhaust tips, and a custom tail pan replaces the rear bumper. A
perfect stance is highlighted by timeless Halibrand wheels, 3-bar
spinners, and BFGoodrich rubber.
LS2 Power
It's obvious this sedan was built to be driven and seen. And
nowhere is that more evident than under the hood, where you'll find
6 liters of modern Chevrolet power. A modern electronically fuel
injected LS2 V8 is the center piece of the smoothed and polished
engine compartment. Stainless steel headers, bright accessories,
and a polished aluminum radiator add a further touch of pizzaz.
SEAMLESS UPGRADES
Take a long look under this classic and you'll find a roster of
significant modifications that add up to impressive dynamics and
big performance gains. The powerful LS2 V8 utilizes a overdrive
automatic transmission to twist a tough Ford 9-inch that's built
with a posi-traction differential. That axle pushes a full custom
Fat Man boxed and powder-coated chassis, which plants independent
front suspension finished with a polished sway bar, polished
control arms and adjustable coil-over-shocks. Turns come courtesy
of power rack-and-pinion steering. Stops are quick and precise
thanks to clean lines and a quartet of billet aluminum calipers.
Spent gases are managed by polished stainless steel pipes which
make excellent use of Thrush mufflers. And power pounds the
pavement through polished Halibrand wheels, which spin 165/15 BF
Goodrichs in front of 275/60R15 BF Goodrichs out back.
DELUXE DE LUXE
There's no shortage of street rods with custom interiors, but a
classic this cool always stands out! The car's custom cockpit kicks
off with modern bucket seats that are covered in a sea of plush
Ultra Leather. In front of those seats, a smoothed dash houses
controls for Vintage Air conditioning behind an array of centered
Dakota Digital gauges. Speaking of convenience, a custom console
plants a custom shifter between a sophisticated touch screen audio
system and switches for modern power windows. The driver spins a
reduced diameter steering wheel around a sleek tilting column. And
detailing is on point, with modern carpet, billet handles and
billet pedals complementing items like new wiring, additional sound
deadening insulation, and a remote entry system.
