This beautiful red 2008 Mazda MX-5 convertible we have here at
Adventure Classics that Mazda has dropped the "Miata" tag from its
official name, but enthusiasts know it more it has fun handling, a
quick-release convertible top, and deft steering and braking.
Ours is painted in Red with black Leather Bucket Seats, black dash
and door panels and a Manual Black Top. It is powered by a smooth
running 2.0-liter I4 and a 4-speed automatic transmission, and has
the Grand Touring /Special Addition/Sport/SV/Touring.
Standard features include power windows, power mirrors, a CD
player, and tilt steering.

Engine & Drivetrain
Our MX5 comes with a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that makes 158
horsepower and 140 pound-feet of torque. A 4-speed automatic
transmission drives the rear wheels and it is sufficiently quick
for daily driving.
The engine looks entirely stock and as it did when new with the
very clean and tidy engine compartment.
It also has Antilock disc brakes and side airbags are standard and
the peppy four pulls willingly and revs freely.The 2008 Mazda has
the Grand Touring /Special Addition/Sport/SV/Touring and has few
equals when it comes to sheer entertainment.
Interior
The MX5 has a black cockpit with simple controls and no-frills
designed to serve the Miata and its driver well. It has black twin
bucket seats, black factory dash with performance type gauges,
floor console, matching door panels, 4-speed floor shifter, stereo
radio system, black carpeting and steering wheel, roll bars behind
both seats, with power windows, mirrors, and locks.
Fit and finish are very good throughout. Dropping the manual top
can be done in seconds from the driver seat and it has a
well-shaped 5.3-cubic-foot trunk can hold a couple days worth of
luggage, provided you pack light.
Exterior
Our Mazda is painted in Red over the bulging fenders, swoopy body,
and painted front and rear bumpers, and is offset by the manual
Black Top. It rides on factory grey alloy mag wheels with newer
performance black sidewall tires too.
Conclusion
The 2008 Mazda MX-5 we have here at Adventure Classics is an
ultra-nimble fantastic choice for an affordable roadster.
It is refined, balanced, pretty in red with the black convertible
top, and eager, it's the ideal car to have when one needs to unplug
from the plugged-in world.
