Multiple time concourse award winner in the early 90s. We have
copies of awards and judging sheets. We also have photos of the
body off the frame and taken down to a bare shell. Restored to
factory specs, #s and codes correct. Genuine born V8 Bel Air.
EXTERIOR: Beautiful 2 door hardtop Bel Air. The body is clean,
straight and fits right. No rust or damage. It has optional fender
skirts. It has a smooth glossy Matador Red finish, painted a long
time ago and there are age cracks. Decked out with chrome jewelry:
bumper guards, door handle guards, rear antenna and dual mirrors.
All the chrome and trim is straight and shiny. Painted rims with
factory hubcaps and optional spinners are wrapped in radial
whitewalls.
INTERIOR: It was entirely gutted and restored back to new factory
specs. Reproduction upholstery, door panels, carpet, headliner etc.
The seats fit tight as a drum. It has optional tissue dispenser,
day/night mirror and reproduction floor mats. A retro stereo fits
in the factory hole. The metal is painted smooth as glass. It is
excellent inside this car.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It was disassembled and restored to original
condition. It has the correct coded: FC Power Pack motor which
includes a 4 barrel carb and dual exhaust. It is completely stock
with correct manifolds, valve covers, air cleaner, carb and even
the glass fuel filter. All the components look clean and proper, it
has optional electric wipers.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid in the entire trunk
compartment is painted smooth gloss red. It has reproduction
weatherstrip and trunk mat. Complete with a restored spare and jack
assembly.
UNDERSIDE: The body was removed from the frame and everything under
this car was restored to factory condition. All the suspension and
steering were rebuilt. It has the correct style dual exhaust with
the long mufflers and from the mufflers back are stainless. The
fuel system was replaced including the tank. The drum brake system
was all rebuilt, e-brake is hooked up. Looking at the bottom of the
motor it is fresh Chevy Orange with correct canister type oil
filter. It has a correct Powerglide automatic transmission, and a
rebuilt drive shaft goes back to its original 1957 rear end. The
floors and braces are all clean metal repainted in the factory red
oxide primer. The chassis was detailed in semi-gloss black and
reinstalled with new body bushings.
SERVICE: We inspected this car and replaced the transmission
mounts, output seal, door lock cylinders and repaired the brake
lights.
It's an older restoration but it's obvious it was done right! It's
actually pretty amazing how good it looks 40 years later, no bad
body work.
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to
assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are
answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video
that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are
displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an
appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment
there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car,
your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year
membership.
