1969 CHEVROLET CHEVELLE SS 396 This 1969 Chevelle looks awesome in
its factory color, Garnet Red code 52 with black accent stripes
running down both sides. It has excellent alignment and the gaps
are correct. It is straight down both sides. The stripes are done
properly. All of the exterior trim and chrome have either been
polished, rechromed or replaced with new. It has new weather
stripping and seals. It sits on a set of 14X8 chrome factory style
SS wheels with new center caps wrapped with a set of Goodyear
radials. The engine compartment is nicely detailed with its
completely rebuilt period-correct 396 V8 engine. It has a few
performance upgrades: aluminum intake manifold with dual feed
Holley carburetor and factory chrome valve covers. It also features
power steering, headers, HEI ignition for reliability, chrome
plated Delco Moraine power brake booster with newer dual master
cylinder, 4 core radiator with correct fan shroud. It has the
correct hood insulation. The engine bay is finished in a black
satin finish. The interior is like new. The black bucket seat
upholstery and cushions have been replaced. The carpet, door
panels, sill plates and kick panels are all like new. Looking at
the dash: it has the optional factory tach and gauge package, the
lenses are clear and the knobs are like new. It has a 3-spoke wood
steering wheel, tilt steering column and a factory AM/FM radio that
works!! All of the heater controls slide with ease. There is a
factory console in between the bucket seats with Hurst 4-speed
shifter and chrome knob coming out of it. The underside looks like
all clean metal. It has disc brakes up front. Looking up at the
motor it is clean as well as the Muncie 4 speed manual
transmission. The floor looks to be original and all clean metal.
It has a newer 2.5" dual exhaust system with FlowMaster mufflers
and correct cowbell bell exhaust tips exiting out the back. Power
is sent to the 3:42 12-bolt Posi rear end with Moser 33 spline
axles. All the E-brake assembly is hooked up and working. The trunk
looks to be all original clean metal and is finished with black
carpet for a nice clean look. It also has new weather stripping.
This is an exceptionally well put together Chevelle SS. It has a
great color and a lot of get up and go!!!!
