Vehicle Description
F-1 trucks have always been cool to own, but this 1950 Ford F-1 Rat
Rod pickup takes cool to a new level! The body on this classic
truck features a chopped roof and "suicide" doors that open to the
front - very cool! Other modifications include a louvered hood,
custom headlights, and a fender to the header panel, which seems
filled and smoothed. The bed floor is finished with wood planks
with the fuel tank relocated under it. A custom toolbox is just
behind the cab. The patinaed finish and some retro-style
pinstriping and graphics on the body look fantastic, giving the
truck a rustic look that is full of character, achieving the
perfect look for a Rat Rod. Inside, the look continues with tweed
bucket seats, a custom console, a B&M shifter, wood paneling on
the doors, a tilt steering column, custom white-faced gauges, a
Jensen touchscreen radio, and a new retro steering wheel with a
black and carbon fiber look finish. This truck sits on a Chevrolet
S-10 chassis powered by a Ford 302 engine mated to an AOD automatic
transmission. Under the louvered hood, the engine bay features an
Edelbrock 4-barrel aluminum intake manifold with a chrome
open-element air cleaner, Ford Racing valve covers, an aluminum
radiator, and power front disc brakes. The truck also sounds retro,
with dual exhaust, glass pack mufflers, and U Power chrome exhaust
tips. Completing the theme are 16-inch red painted steel wheels
with tires staggered 215/70R16 front and 235/70R16 rear.
