This 1956 Chevrolet Nomad Bel Air is one cool hot rod wagon, we’ve seen prices in the wagon market nearly doubled in recent years for their practical uses and cool styling. This ne is no exception, it was fully restored by its previous owner and local auto enthusiasts here in San Diego, I have known of this car for nearly a decade. I always saw him out at cruise night with it , a few auto shows the Blvd cruise at our yearly Del Mar Good Guys Meet it was always a popular event and exciting opportunity for him to drive and show off his ride … Unfortunately he passed away a couple years ago and the car was inherited by his children who enjoyed for it for the past 18 months and now its time to sell.
Upon receiving the car we have receipts and documents for over 18,000 in upgrades to ensure the car was in tip top shape for their uses, Having always serviced and maintained by JBA racing in San Diego the logical Choice was to go back to JBA for a refreshing, in Dec 2022 over $10,000 was invested into a cleanup with all fluids serviced, alignment, front suspension idle arms and coil springs with New shocks and sway bars added for a smoother ride, R&R of its Muncie 4 Speed, gaskets , seals and linkage all redone and to the highest standards .
Equipped with 327 V8 with Dual Quads !!! Extremely hard to find components it was dyno tuned and tested at JBA, it runs great, shifts smooth, has disc brakes up front , nice Sounds system, Vintage AC unit installed but needs further repair to have it working. Dakota digital Dash, sound system, and that cool surf style flavor yes the bard comes with it !!!
