For Sale: 1931 Ford Model A in Merritt, British Columbia

Vehicle Description

This 1931 Ford Model A Coupe is powered by an Oldsmobile 394cid V8 equipped with a J2 intake manifold and triple carburetors and backed by a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. Features include a 1932 Ford radiator shell, a chopped roof, a channeled body, a tilt steering column, heated bucket seats, a Pontiac gauge pod, a dropped and drilled front axle, and Buick polished aluminum front brake drums. Finished in burgundy metallic and cream over a burgundy and off white Italian leather interior, this Model A comes with Canadian registration in the seller's name.

During the build completed in 2016, the rust-free and channeled body was finished in burgundy metallic over cream. Features include a 1932 Ford radiator shell and insert, 1939 Pontiac headlight buckets, a windshield visor, a chopped roof, a tilt-out windshield frame, a driver-side rearview mirror, a black vinyl roof insert, accent pinstriping, and custom taillights with blue-dot lenses.

A set of maroon metallic 15-inch wheels is wrapped in BFGoodrich Silvertown front and Firestone 8.20-15 whitewall bias-ply rear tires.

The cabin is furnished with heated burgundy and off white Italian leather bucket seats surrounded by burgundy and off white door panels and trim. Features include manual windows and steering, a tilt steering column, a custom center console-mounted B&M automatic transmission shifter, a natural wood slat headliner, and a banjo steering wheel with an off white leather grip.

A 100-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, water temperature, and battery are located in a Pontiac Silver Streak chrome gauge pod mounted ahead of the driver. With 1,600 miles added during the past nine-years ownership, the odometer reads 7,963 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

Power is provided by an Oldsmobile 394cid V8 equipped with a J2 intake manifold and three Rochester 2G carburetors and backed by a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission with a non-lockup torque converter. The open engine bay features chrome valve covers, finned polished aluminum air cleaner housings, and a body-color firewall. A video of the engine running can be seen below.

The original frame has been boxed and raised eight inches in the rear. It is equipped with a chrome dropped and drilled solid I-beam front axle and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by manual Buick polished aluminum front drums and rear drums. The exhaust exits through polished pipes.

Will consider partial trades only.
