Absolutely beautiful Porsche speedster replica on a 1968 VW pan. More of a tribute than a replica with many Porsche parts. The paint is in excellent condition (photos show two very small chips). It comes with a hard top, soft top with side curtains and a full tonneau cover. The car arrived to me with the hard top on, but I only use the tonneau. It’s never seen the rain in my use and I’ve never put on the soft top which looks brand new. Tan leather seats with two types of cushions. Authentic coconut mats. A period wooden steering wheel with Porsche horn badge. Lap belts. Porsche 914 VDO gauges. Wheels are original 1963 Porsche steel rims with new tires.
I believe the engine to be a 1900cc. (built by previous owner) It is quick and I have receipts for a hot cam installed by a previous owner. It has Empi2 carbs with K&N air filters. Not show quality but runs very strong and sounds great. A quick change stick on a 4 speed transmission. It drives very nicely. I believe I am the third owner. The guy I bought from was a multi millionaire from Florida who bought the best of everything for this car, including all three styles of top, luggage rack with leather straps. I had the center gas filler with extra large gas tank, the 5 stud Lemmerz Porsche rims, front disc brakes, leather hood straps and vintage badges installed (all work done by Fibersteel of Irwindale Ca). The door gaps are really nice and they open and shut with ease. There is a kill switch behind the passenger seat and a sound system with a cord to take a phone.
The car gets a lot of attention, I drive to a lot of cars n coffee events and it always gets the “is it real” question. Everything works perfectly.
