GM Crate Engine 350ci/385hp, automatic transmission, 73,719 original miles, red leather interior, power steering, power brakes, power windows, power driver seat, X-A/C, tilt and telescopic steering column, 3 inch dual exhaust, AM/FM/CD player, glass t tops, ground effects, rear spoiler, turbo hood, and much more.
We changed the oil and filter, transmission fluid, and checked and lubed the chassis. We replaced the selector seal, trailing arm bushings, sway bar links, and much more.
The last owner owned this corvette for about 20 years. A speed shop restored the corvette prior to him buying it. The last owner replaced the engine with a GM ZZ4 385Hp crate engine at a cost of over 14000 dollars. He also installed a TCI turbo 350 transmission with a 10 inch stall converter, GM aluminum heads and intake, Holley carburetor, HEI ignition, 3 inch dual exhaust, Magnaflow mufflers, headers, leaf spring rubbers, tongue bushing, chrome wheels, radiator, and much more.
This sharp little red Corvette is a blast to cruise around in with all the upgrades the last owner did to it.
1981 was the last year for a carburetor on the corvette. It was also the first year for a computer in a corvette. This was the last year for the Saint Louis Assembly Plant and the first year for the Bowling Green Plant. GM only produced 4,310 Red corvettes out of 40,606 total production in 1981.
