Vehicle Description
Gateway Classic Cars of San Antonio/Austin is proud to offer this
1970 Chevrolet Chevelle 454 SS. The 1970 Chevelle just did it
better than the rest. The long hood, proper pillarless hardtop, and
fastback profile instantly announced a sports car had arrived. The
Cranberry red paint and dual black SS rally stripes is one of the
most sought-after combos around. Under the hood is what we all love
to see, some serious big block power! The 454 cubic-inch V8 and the
modified Turbo 350 automatic transmission look great with the bold
orange block and plenty of shine from the valve covers, alternator
and pulleys. You also have nice power components like a new MSD
Atomic EFI, aluminum radiator, an updated Edelbrock performer
intake, and long tube Hedman headers feeding the X-pipe dual
exhaust. The Strat-O-Bucket front seats and rear bench are finished
in black vinyl, and the cabin features a matching dash, carpets,
headliner, and door panels. Interior equipment includes a center
console with Horseshoe shifter, an Audiovox AM/FM/Cassette stereo,
power steering, power front disc brakes, and wide and sticky radial
tires. (This car does have an AC compressor with it, however it is
not installed). A three-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph
speedometer, a 10k-rpm Autometer tachometer, a fuel gauge, analog
clock, coolant temperature, battery amperage and auxiliary gauges
below the center stack that includes oil pressure and oil
temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 10k miles, though total
mileage is unknown. If you're looking for a stop light racer or
just a good cruiser, this is the one you want to own!
