Camino, the mullet on wheels, combined car like luxury with the
toughness of a truck. A 2022 restoration makes this SS 396 look red
carpet ready in tuxedo black paint with white super sport rally
stripes. Adding to the look is the cowl induction ss hood with pins
and chrome trim throughout. The 396 big block V8, which actually
displaced 402 cubic inches, is a solid performer with 350
horsepower. This 4 speed manual transmission is a blast to drive.
It can haul lumber all week and be ready to cruise the streets on
the way to a car show on Saturday. This SS comes with power
steering, power brakes, restored black bucket seats with black and
white houndstooth inserts, full center console with console mounted
shifter, vent windows, factory gauges and tachometer/ tachometer
adaptor, chrome driver and passenger mirrors, QA1 altitude
adjustment, new carpet, new wheels, Goodyear Eagle GT II tires, new
vintage air system, Bluetooth stereo, speakers, subwoofer, and amp.
The frame and engine have been cleaned, entire suspension system
replaced, new spark plugs, and the carburetor replaced with a
Holley Sniper kit complete with custom calibration street tune.
Other work that has been completed includes: *Rear differential has
been rebuilt and new lube and slip supplement have been added.
*Frame has been cleaned up and prepped for suspension parts * Front
suspension and rear suspension has been modified with QA1
suspension parts and coil over shocks. * Has new rear brake system
and with new park brake cables. * Front brake system has been
replaced with new lines ,calipers bearings and rotors. * Front
runner has been removed cleaned and replaced with Vintage Air front
runner kit. * Carburetor and mechanical fuel pump have been deleted
and have been upgraded to a Sniper Carb EFl conversion, with 02
sensor and temperature sensor and appropriate wiring. * New fuel
lines and electrical fuel pump have been added for EFI system with
custom Holley street tune calibration * Has new radiator with
aluminum shroud and electric fan with relays * New power cables
have been ran and install ground straps on block to frame * New
stereo system with 5.5 in speaker in center of dash ,6.5 in speaker
in kick panels with amp and fiberglass molded speaker box *
Complete ac system has been upgraded with Vintage Air ac kit
including air ducts ,ac hoses ac compressor, and drier and
heater/ac box. This El Camino runs and drives beautifully and it's
stunning appearance is sure to turn heads! If you have an interest
